Political discussions can become heated, but every member is still expected to follow the site rules and treat others with basic respect.

1. Political Content Stays in the Political Forum

This rule is absolute.

All political content must be posted inside the political forum. Political posts, comments, memes, jokes, arguments, usernames used to promote political messages, profile content, and attempts to bring political debates into gaming discussions are covered by this rule.

Posting political content anywhere else on the site may result in an immediate ban, with or without a warning. Staff members are not required to move the content or issue a warning before taking action.

2. Debate the Subject, Not the Person

Disagree with another member’s argument without attacking the member personally. Name-calling, insults, ridicule, harassment, intimidation, and attempts to provoke someone are not allowed.

Statements aimed at a person’s intelligence, appearance, disability, family, background, or private life may be removed and may lead to disciplinary action.

3. Hate Speech Is Prohibited

Content that attacks, degrades, threatens, or promotes hatred against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or another protected characteristic is prohibited.

Discussing laws, policies, court cases, or public controversies involving these subjects is allowed. Using those discussions as an excuse to target or demean people is not.

4. No Threats or Encouragement of Violence

Threats of violence, wishes of harm, celebration of real-world violence, or encouragement of violence against another person or group are prohibited.

This includes coded threats, indirect threats, and statements framed as jokes when a reasonable person could view them as threatening.

5. No Doxxing or Private Information

Do not post or threaten to post another person’s private or identifying information. This includes home addresses, phone numbers, private email addresses, workplaces, medical information, financial records, family information, or real-time location details.

Public information about elected officials and public figures may be discussed when it is directly relevant to the topic. Attempts to organize harassment or unwanted contact are prohibited.

6. Support Factual Claims

Members should provide a source when making a factual claim that is disputed, serious, or central to the discussion. Sources should be relevant to the claim being made.

Knowingly posting false information, edited material presented as authentic, fabricated quotations, or misleading claims may result in content removal or account action.

Opinions do not need a source, but they should be presented as opinions rather than confirmed facts.

7. Do Not Misrepresent Sources

Do not post a source while making claims that the source does not support. Headlines, images, videos, statistics, and quotations should not be stripped of context to create a false impression.

Satire, parody, edited media, and AI-generated content must be clearly identified when there is a reasonable chance that someone could mistake it for authentic material.

8. No Spam or Repetitive Posting

Do not flood the forum with repeated topics, copied messages, campaign material, slogans, advertisements, petitions, referral links, fundraising links, or promotional content.

Before creating a new topic, check whether an active discussion already exists. Staff may merge, close, or remove duplicate discussions.

9. Keep Topics Focused

Posts should stay connected to the subject of the discussion. Do not repeatedly redirect a topic to unrelated politicians, scandals, parties, or past events.

Members may create a separate topic for a different subject when it follows the forum rules.

10. No Trolling or Bad-Faith Participation

Do not join discussions solely to anger people, derail conversations, mock other members, or create conflict. Repeatedly asking questions while ignoring answers, changing the subject to avoid responding, or deliberately misrepresenting another member’s position may be treated as bad-faith participation.

Disagreement is allowed. Deliberate disruption is not.

11. No Impersonation

Do not impersonate another member, staff member, public official, journalist, organization, or news outlet.

Parody accounts or parody content must be clearly identified and must not be used to deceive, harass, or spread false information.

12. Graphic and Disturbing Content

Graphic images or videos involving death, serious injury, war, terrorism, or violence must include a clear warning and must be placed behind any available spoiler or content-warning feature.

Staff may remove graphic content that is unnecessary, excessive, exploitative, or posted for shock value.

13. Election and Voting Information

Information about voting dates, registration, polling locations, eligibility, or election procedures should come from official election authorities or other reliable sources.

Content intended to deceive people about when, where, or how they can vote is prohibited and may result in an immediate ban.

14. Respect Staff Decisions

Moderators may remove content, close discussions, issue warnings, restrict accounts, or ban members when forum rules are broken.

Do not restart a removed discussion, repost deleted content, encourage others to continue a locked argument, or attack staff members over a moderation decision. Questions about moderation should be submitted through the site’s private contact or appeal process.

15. Do Not Evade Moderation

Creating another account to avoid a warning, restriction, suspension, or ban is prohibited. Accounts connected to ban evasion may be removed without warning.

Editing a post after moderation to restore removed content or continue the same violation may lead to further action.

16. Report Problems Instead of Escalating Them

Use the report feature when another member breaks the rules. Do not respond with harassment, threats, retaliation, or additional rule violations.

Reporting a post does not guarantee that staff will agree with the report. False or abusive reporting may lead to account action.

17. Enforcement

Rule enforcement may depend on the seriousness of the violation, the member’s history, the effect on the community, and whether the conduct appears deliberate.

Possible actions include:

• Content removal

• Informal notice

• Official warning

• Temporary posting restriction

• Temporary suspension

• Permanent ban

Serious violations may lead directly to a permanent ban without prior warnings.

Final Notice

Access to the political forum is a privilege, not a right. Members who cannot discuss politics without disrupting the gaming community, attacking others, spreading harmful material, or ignoring staff instructions may lose access to the forum or the entire site.
